Photo Guidlines
Photo Resolution: from 4096 pixels wide side
Camera orientation: position the camera in the doorway of a room, in the center, or at a slight angle. A height of 5 feet is ultimate when shooting (waist or just above waist level), as going too high can skew the image, and going too low can result in a cramped image. Don’t show too much of a floor or ceiling, as shown in the examples below.
Exception - photos from the second floor
Straighten the vertical lines in the frame to avoid leaning walls:
Be careful with too wide camera lenses or panoramic pictures - without proper editing, they often result in elongated furniture in virtual staging.
Incorrect - stretched furniture
Correct - furniture looks natural
When shooting, pay attention to composition and the approximate arrangement of furniture. This will allow showing the apartments more advantageously with virtual staging.
Incorrect - uninformative photo
Correct - shows zones clearly
Avoid vertical framing so as not to lose information on the sides of the frame (but doing extra shots for your vertical-oriented social media won’t hurt).
Exceptions: narrow, small rooms (bathroom, kitchen, wardrobe, foyer, etc.), high ceilings, and duplex apartments
It's better to have a shot of the entire area where you want the bed to be, as shots that include the headboard make bedrooms look more advantageous:
Incorrect - less informative
Correct - more informative
Exception - need to show a panoramic view
Provide a layout for us to understand how to arrange furniture, as it is sometimes unclear in the photo where the doorway or closet is
Importance of light - avoid artificial lighting that makes your photos yellowish, and try to get your property as lit with natural light as you can
Take care of your white balance. Otherwise, the 3D furniture will stand out in the photo.
